Sex toys: how to clean them

Find out how to clean your personal toys easily, correctly, and according to its material.

Sex, rinse repeat

We're going to say that hygiene is essential after getting your hands dirty 😉 After a great session with your favorite device(s), the last thing we want to think about is cleaning.

If you want to keep your sex toys clean and in good condition, you need to know how to clean them properly. Cleaning your toy is actually very easy and literally takes 30 seconds.

Here are some tips for cleaning sex toys:

1. Sex toy cleaner

By far the easiest and fastest way to clean your toy is to use a sex toy cleaner. Basically, just spray the toy all over its surface to keep bacteria away. Then, once it's completely covered, let it dry. No rinsing is necessary!

2. Soap and water

Don't have a sex toy cleaner? Don't worry. Wash your sex toys with warm water and mild soap. Simply run your toy under the faucet to get it wet. Then, add some liquid soap and rub the soap all over the toy. Finally, rinse it off and let it air dry.

N.B. Avoid using harsh chemicals, as they can damage the material of your sex toys.

3. Cleaning metal plugs

If your plug isn't electric, you can simply put it in a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes to clean and sterilise it. Then let it cool down.

4. Cleaning

glass toys

Glass toys are some of the easiest to clean. Not only can you use sex toy cleaner or the soap and water method, but these clever toys can even be placed in the dishwasher. A good hot setting is great for killing bacteria, but you may want to take out your favorite cup first.
